Gretchen M. Mitchell has served in the Spring Independent School District since 1999. Gretchen’s career with Spring Independent School District began with Link Elementary as a front office clerk, providing support to staff and faculty with daily campus activities. As new opportunities became open Gretchen moved to Heritage Elementary, performing as health clerk and workroom coordinator. Thompson Elementary is where Gretchen firmly established her leadership and guidance skills as the campus secretary; coordinating meetings for the Principal and all campus organizations, maintaining confidential records of all campus staff, tracing substitute coverage, and administration of payroll for staff. Gretchen moved on to the Spring Independent School District Child Nutrition department as secretary, responsible for supporting the child nutrition supervisors with, daily campus cafeteria staffing needs, new hire interview processes, department program planning and committee meetings.
In August of 2012, Gretchen was selected for her current position as Spring ISD Police Department Secretary.
