Anderson Celebrates Tie Tuesdays

Anderson Celebrates Tie Tuesdays

This year, Spring ISD's Family and Community Engagement Department is encouraging students and staff to wear ties every Tuesday to cultivate self-esteem and confidence. Superintendent Dr. Rodney Watson says, "This project is about more than wearing a tie and learning how to tie one. It is about dressing professionally, learning how to be a leader and developing good character traits as well.”

Tie Tuesdays officially began on Tuesday, September 4 and will continue through the end of the year. All staff, students and community members are invited to participate by wearing a tie. To help spread the word, participants are also encouraged to post a photo short video of themselves sharing the reason ties are important to them and use the hashtag #TieTuesdaySpring. Please tag @AndersonGators and @SpringISD as well!

If you would like to donate new or gently used ties to help launch this project, you may drop them off at the reception desk at the Gordon M. Anderson Leadership Center at 16717 Ella Blvd. For more information about the Tie Tuesday project or donations, please contact Tranita Carroll at 281-891-6019 or via email at tcarroll@springisd.org.
