MEET OUR NEW ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL,
I am a proud graduate of Sam Houston State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in Theatre Arts. After several years of teaching, I realized that school leadership was my passion, so I earned my Principal Certification at Concordia University.
My career began 23 years ago as a 5th and 6th grade Theatre Arts and Dance Teacher. When fine arts was removed from the curriculum, I was asked to serve as a 5th grade Math and Science teacher and was later promoted to the 3rd-5th grade Math Specialist position. I continued to grow in leadership and have served as a 504/RTI Coordinator, Dyslexia Coordinator, and an Elementary and Middle School Assistant Principal. I feel blessed to join the Beneke family for the 2023-2024 school year. I share the same educational beliefs as Mrs. Smith, and I believe all students can learn. I will do all I can to help ensure our students are given opportunities to grow and shine.
When not working, I enjoy reading, dancing, and attending Theatre productions. I love to spend time with my husband and our three children, Cruz (13), Cielo (12), and Criston (10). We are an active family and love watching and playing all types of sports.
