  • RAINY DAY PROCEDURES

    Smith Elementary will NOT have Rainy day Dismissal this year. If you need to make a transportation change for your child, please send a note to the teacher or fax it to 281-891-8421. All transportation changes must be made by 2:30 pm. In the event that there is lightning, we will hold all walkers/bikers until it is safe for them to walk/bike home. Please assist us by monitoring the weather and sending students with proper attire and umbrellas if needed.

  • Smith Welcomes New Assistant Principal

     

    Ms. Eason

     

    Shimona Eason is a LEAD SPRING participant and has spent her 13-year career serving the students and parents in Spring ISD. She began her journey at Thompson Elementary as a teacher and was promoted to instructional coach.  She was also worked at Booker Elementary, Claughton Middle School and Jenkins Elementary where she has held the roles of Teacher, Testing Coordinator and Accountability Specialist. This will be her third year as an Assistant Principal.  For the past two years she has worked as an Assistant Principal at Burchett Elementary. She received her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Texas Southern University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Lamar University.
